Having been a student and investment professional focused on economics and finance for more than 30 years, Jim has witnessed the implications of those words on more than one occasion. From market corrections to irrational exuberance, what has held true are economic and market fundamentals.
Jim’s career has centered on applying those core principles to help individuals, families and organizations achieve their investment related goals and objectives. He has a strong history of providing disciplined processes, built around appropriate risk tolerance levels and reasonable investment objectives. Jim also has extensive experience around investment manager due diligence and research across all asset classes. His focus is to ensure LAMCO’s clients and team continue to receive exemplary service and support by drawing on his years of expertise.
Jim is a Michigan native and the father of triplet daughters. He and his wife enjoy spending time with family and exploring their new home state.
Prior to Jim’s relocation from Michigan to Florida to join LAMCO in 2018, he worked as an Investment Specialist and Financial Advisor for several firms including LJPR Financial Advisors, J.P Morgan Private Bank and Plante Moran Financial Advisors.
Jim graduated from Walsh College with a Master of Science in Finance with Distinction and Oakland University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with a Minor in Finance. He holds the Chartered Alternative Investments Analyst (CAIA) designation, Certified Investment Management Analyst®(CIMA®) certification through The Wharton School, and is an Accredited Investment Fiduciary Analyst (AIFA®). Jim also holds the FINRA Series 65 license (active) and had acquired the Series 7 and 63 (inactive).
