“I skate to where the puck is going to be, not where it has been.” – Wayne Gretzky
To an avid hockey fan like Mark, these words of wisdom apply well beyond the ice. Just as in hockey, reaching a financial goal successfully requires an informed anticipation of the associated risks and challenges.
Mark has a passion for helping individuals and organizations achieve their financial goals by helping them first understand where they are, and then plan for where they want to be. His belief is that only after we understand a client’s needs can we anticipate how the financial markets will impact their probability of success.
Hockey also taught Mark that no matter how rough the game, you have to play all 60 minutes. Volatile markets that test client conviction are inevitable. Mark believes that committing to a well-crafted plan, which takes these risks into consideration, is the key to achieving financial goals.
The centerpiece of Mark’s vision for LAMCO is to establish the firm as a trusted financial steward for individuals and organizations by leveraging our unbiased investment philosophy and experienced staff to create the unique “LAMCO client experience.”
Mark graduated Cum Laude from Boston College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance, before joining LAMCO Advisory Services as an Investment Management Analyst in 1992. Since 1997, Mark has been the firm’s Director of Investment Services. In this role, he is responsible for chairing the firm’s Investment Committee and setting the firm’s investment policies. In 2005, he was elected as the firm’s President.
